New York, NY – Nothing excites us more here at Sitka Creations then a reason to head into Manhattan for an old-fashioned film festival. After all, movies are meant to be seen on a theater screen, not an I-pod or computer.
If you are a film junkie and/or looking for something different to do this Fall make sure to check out the 31st Asbury Short Film Concert on Friday, November 18, 2011. This remarkable touring exhibition presents award-winning short films that have been carefully selected from US and international film festivals for your viewing pleasure. Highlights of this year’s annual showcase include The Lost Thing, a 2010 Oscar® winner for Best Animated Short Film and La Linea, recent winner of Audience Choice at the DC Shorts Film Festival. The purpose of this event is to showcase and celebrate these cinematic treasures in a real theater setting, as they were meant to be shown. So mark it down on your calendar and get ready to kick off the weekend with New York City’s longest-running short film exhibition at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway (located at 1871 Broadway, at 62nd St., in Manhattan) at 7:30 p.m. on the 18th. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Concert website at http://asburyshortsnyc.com or call 718-510-6929.
