Front Street Fiber Cooperative Logo
Logo for Local Internet Company
Background: Front Street Fiber Cooperative is a community-owned Internet Service Provider (ISP) working to bring residential and business internet service to Shirley Village.
Objectives:
- Create a logo that does not specifically target the town of Shirley since the client would eventually like to branch to surrounding towns.
- The client did not want to use a color palette that was typical for their competitors to have (red, blue, and black). They also didn’t want to use graphics that suggested cable or radio since they are not services that the company provides.
Rather, they wanted a logo that didn’t look out of date. Client thought that it would steer potential customers away. They wanted to show the concept of fiber cables.
Approach: In-person meetings were scheduled where the client would see 5 drafts of their logo and evaluate which ones they would like to follow through with. Issues such as community, graphics, and typography were addressed. The client displayed some logo refences that appealed to them during a meeting and mentioned the topic of fiber cables and the color green. After designing the final 5 drafts the client loved two of them and approved to use them for their company.
