Sitka Creations is named after a large evergreen that is found in Alaska, the Sitka Spruce.
Sitka Creations, a small and growing international design studio, was created in 2002 in Rockland-Maine by a graphic designer trained in Nashville-Tennessee, Providence-Rhode Island, and Budapest-Hungary. Sitka Creations then set up a studio on Martha's Vineyard-Massachusetts, which is located near Tashmoo.
The NEW home base for Sitka Creations is NYC.

Hailing from TN with Hungarian roots, Miss Russell’s background is in print design. Miss Russell has a certificate in photography from Cumberland University in TN, an Associates in design from Nashville State Technical Institute, a BA in design from Rhode Island College and a year abroad at the economics university Kögaz in Budapest, Hungary.
Miss Russell operates the home studio for Sitka Creations in NYC, USA with an even smaller studio space on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, USA.

Kelly Kidson
Studio V Director | Sitka's Web & Social Media Manager
Kelly was originally from the Adirondacks of New York and then spent a decade living in Rhode Island where she met Sitka’s owner; Miss Russell. The two quickly formed a bond over art, music, the printed page and a life less ordinary. Kelly’s love of people and cultures inspired her travels in Eastern Europe with Miss Russell. Years later, Kelly has now decided to call Vientiane, Lao PDR “home” and finds herself immersed in a world of balancing traditions with trends ; a classic SITKA theme.
Kelly brings to Sitka her extensive knowledge and years of experience with corporate and personal branding, online marketing and social media. This comes from her diverse background gained from previous corporate experience and her own start-up ventures within domestic and international business environments. With a formal education background in graphic design, Kelly thinks creative design is essential to successful marketing. She works closely with Miss Russell to create innovative yet effective campaigns.
When not working on SITKA projects, Kelly studies the Lao language and culture, along with teaching English. She is a member of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and The Lao Heritage Foundation.
