Local Photographer’s artist reception to benefit Nashville Red Cross at Bongo Java Coffee Shop on Belmont Blvd.

NASHVILLE, TN: May 13, 2010, 7-11 PM

bongoPR

Back in February, local photographer Chad McClarnon raised $300 for Partners in Health’s “Stand With Haiti” campaign with his opening at Fido Coffee shop. Chad is currently exhibiting his work at Bongo Java Coffee Shop on Belmont Blvd. Due to the now incredible need for relief from the recent flood disaster right in his hometown of Nashville, Chad has decided to have an opening for his show to raise money for the Nashville Area American Red Cross. Chad has promised to donate 50% of all profits from print sales made at Bongo Java throughout the entire month of May to the Nashville Area Chapter American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. For all print sales made during the reception on May 13th, 100% of profits will be donated. Cash and Check donations will also be accepted during the reception.

Ever since his father gave him a Minolta X-700 when he was 11-years old, Chad has been shooting photos. The collection of images in this show is an example of the work he’s been doing over the past 2 years. Chad’s photography tries to focus on telling a story in a visually compelling way. Chad has very recently gotten into fine art photography, and Bongo Java is his sixth exhibition of these works. You may have seen his work at Fido Coffee Shop in Hillsboro Village, Crema Coffee on Hermitage Ave., The Frothy Monkey on 12 South, Casablanca Coffee in the Gulch, or Sweet Sallie’s Bakery and Cafe in Cookeville, TN.

You can see Chad’s work online at http://www.cwmphoto.com or call (615) 481-7508 for
additional information. You may also check out his blog for more info on the event at www.cwmphoto.com/blog
